- • Design, develop, modify, and integrate complex information systems to support AI-powered digital experiences at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.
- • Build, manage, and deploy web services that serve as the foundation for AI-driven applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- • Formulate system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to align technical solutions with functional requirements including capacity, response time, and desired output formats.
- • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts for integration systems using relevant programming languages and tools.
- • Develop and implement comprehensive program and system test plans, including data verification methods and standard operating procedures to ensure system integrity.
- • Respond to system failures and performance issues by diagnosing root causes, implementing corrective actions, and preventing recurrence to minimize downtime.
- • Act as a senior technical resource to development teams across all phases of the software development lifecycle, providing guidance on architecture, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- • Conduct research on software and hardware products to evaluate options, justify technical recommendations, and support budgeting and purchasing decisions.
- • Design, develop, and manage RESTful APIs and integration solutions with a focus on interoperability, security, and high performance.
- • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and decision-making.
- • Lead large and complex integration projects from conception through deployment, demonstrating strong analysis, design, and coding skills.
- • Maintain organizational reliability and manage multiple concurrent tasks with a high standard of work ethic and attention to detail.
- • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure continuous system availability and rapid response to critical incidents.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize application systems and procedures for efficiency, stability, and user experience.
- • Ensure all integration solutions adhere to corporate standards for application development methodology, terminology, and security protocols.
- • Support the deployment and operation of containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, repeatable software delivery.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science-related field or equivalent work experience (4 years of professional corporate experience)
- • 5 years of systems and programming experience
- • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, and standards
- • 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language used at BCBST
- • Proven experience designing and documenting integration solutions with focus on interoperability, security, and performance
- • Experience with RESTful services, CI/CD, containerization, Node.js, React, and SQL
