📋 Description

• • Architect and own the next generation of Finalis’ AI-native platform, building secure, scalable backend services that power compliance, data, and payments for thousands of private-market dealmakers worldwide.
• • Translate high-level business objectives into elegant technical designs, working side-by-side with product managers, designers, compliance officers, and sales leaders to deliver features that close deals faster and keep every transaction within regulatory guardrails.
• • Design, implement, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs in TypeScript/Node.js, leveraging Next.js for server-side rendering and React for rich client experiences; ensure sub-second latency and 99.9 % uptime for mission-critical workflows.
• • Model and optimize relational data in PostgreSQL, craft performant queries, and evolve schemas without downtime as transaction volume grows 10× year-over-year.
• • Build event-driven microservices on AWS (or GCP) using queues, streams, and serverless functions to orchestrate compliance checks, payment reconciliation, and AI-driven document classification in real time.
• • Champion security-first development: integrate OAuth 2.0 / SAML, enforce least-privilege IAM policies, encrypt data in transit and at rest, and maintain SOC 2 and FINRA compliance evidence automatically.
• • Establish and evangelize engineering best practices—comprehensive unit/integration testing, continuous integration via GitHub Actions, continuous deployment with blue-green releases, and real-time monitoring using Datadog or similar.
• • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and career-development plans; foster a culture where knowledge sharing and psychological safety accelerate innovation.
• • Lead incident response and post-mortems, turning outages into learning opportunities that harden the platform and refine runbooks.
• • Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap, evaluating new frameworks, datastores, and AI/ML tooling that can shave days off deal cycles and unlock new revenue streams.
• • Stay ahead of fintech, reg-tech, and distributed-systems trends; run internal tech talks and hack-days to experiment with generative AI, zero-knowledge proofs, or whatever gives Finalis the next competitive edge.
• • Work 100 % remotely across EST–EET time zones, with the autonomy to set your own schedule while remaining available for core collaboration hours; travel occasionally for team off-sites in San Francisco or New York.
