  • • The CEO’s Right Hand (TCRH) is a dynamic and growing strategic finance and accounting firm dedicated to empowering U.S. small and mid-sized businesses. We act as a crucial extension of our clients' leadership teams, providing unparalleled financial clarity, robust operational rigor, and the development of scalable accounting infrastructure. Our clients trust TCRH to deliver expert, hands-on leadership across all facets of accounting, finance, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), enabling them to make informed decisions and achieve sustainable growth.
  • • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our team, based remotely in Latin America. This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting a diverse portfolio of U.S.-based clients. You will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of their accounting operations, including comprehensive month-end close processes and the delivery of high-quality financial reporting. This position is perfectly suited for an individual who excels in a fast-paced consulting environment, possesses a natural ability to bring structure and efficiency to complex workflows, and demonstrates a strong sense of ownership in maintaining impeccably clean and accurate financial records.
  • • **Accrual Accounting & Month-End Close:** You will take full ownership of the month-end close process for your assigned clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This includes the meticulous preparation of various journal entries, such as accruals, deferrals, reclasses, payroll allocations, and intercompany transactions. A critical part of your role will involve completing comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations for a wide range of accounts, including cash, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), credit cards, loans, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and deferred revenue. You will also conduct thorough Profit & Loss (P&L) reviews, performing detailed variance analysis to identify and explain significant fluctuations. To ensure consistency and efficiency, you will maintain standardized close checklists and meticulously organized workpapers for each client engagement.
  • • **Payroll & Sales Tax Oversight:** Your responsibilities will extend to reviewing and posting payroll entries, accurately reflecting wages, benefits, and employer taxes in the general ledger. You will reconcile detailed payroll reports against the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance. A key task will be mapping general ledger accounts between payroll systems and QuickBooks, ensuring seamless data flow and correct financial reporting. You will apply fundamental sales and use tax principles to ensure proper transaction coding and tax remittance. In instances where specialized expertise is required, you will coordinate effectively with external payroll or sales tax providers.
  • • **Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Process Ownership:** You will be tasked with building and maintaining structured, efficient workflows for both Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This involves reviewing staff-level processing to guarantee accuracy in data entry and proper account classification. You will manage vendor and customer records, oversee payment terms, and monitor aging reports to ensure healthy cash flow and vendor relationships. A core aspect of this responsibility is ensuring all processes align with established internal controls and adhere to documentation standards, promoting a culture of compliance and transparency.
  • • **Revenue, Billing, and Project Accounting:** You will provide crucial support for revenue recognition, particularly for clients operating in service-based industries. This includes reconciling unbilled revenue, work-in-progress (WIP), and deferred revenue accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. You will ensure alignment between project-specific data, such as hours billed, fees, and change orders, and the corresponding accounting records, providing a clear financial picture of project status.
  • • **Financial Reporting Excellence:** You will prepare draft monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This includes completing detailed budget-to-actual comparisons and period-over-period analyses. You will be responsible for summarizing key financial drivers and insights, presenting them clearly to internal leadership and directly to clients to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • • **Client Communication & Collaboration:** As the day-to-day accounting point of contact for your assigned clients, you will foster strong working relationships. You will communicate project timelines, potential issues, and key deliverables with clarity and proactivity. Furthermore, you will provide valuable guidance and mentorship to junior accountants on the team, reviewing selected work to ensure quality and consistency across the board. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a client-facing capacity and is committed to delivering exceptional accounting services.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
  • • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), with a QBO ProAdvisor certification or a willingness to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
  • • Demonstrated experience with payroll processing and reconciliation, including familiarity with systems like Gusto, ADP, or similar.
  • • Excellent English communication skills (C1/C2 level), both written and verbal, for effective client and team interaction.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • • Opportunity to work with a diverse range of U.S. small and mid-sized businesses.
  • • Professional development and training opportunities, including support for obtaining certifications like QBO ProAdvisor.
  • • Collaborative and supportive team environment with a focus on continuous learning and growth.
