• • As a Sr Staff Data Scientist at Dexcom, you will be instrumental in transforming complex clinical and real-world data into actionable insights that drive the development of life-changing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology. • • In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and continuous improvement of data infrastructure crucial for clinical studies and real-world data sources, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR). A significant part of your day-to-day will involve leading the research, prototyping, and development of sophisticated machine learning and AI models, meticulously aligning them with critical business objectives. You will also take the lead in statistical analysis planning and execution for clinical studies. This includes the intricate design of studies and endpoints, performing precise sample size and power calculations, and meticulously crafting and reviewing detailed statistical analysis plans. Furthermore, you will oversee the production and rigorous review of tables, figures, and listings, critically interpret the resulting data, and proactively identify and address any limitations in study design or statistical methodologies employed. Your expertise will be sought after to review and provide valuable input on clinical protocols and Case Report Forms (CRFs), ensuring the utmost data integrity and the generation of high-quality statistical analyses that will support abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts, thereby contributing to the scientific dissemination of Dexcom's findings.
• • You will be expected to leverage scientific literature as a foundational research methodology, using it to inform and refine data science approaches, develop advanced statistical methods, and conduct comprehensive analyses for both clinical studies and real-world evidence generation. A key aspect of this senior role involves guiding and supporting junior data scientists and biostatisticians.
