📋 Description

• • Sustain day-to-day production test operations for Silicon Photonics products (LIP, Burn-In, ECL test flows) at a supplier facility in Taipei, ensuring stable throughput, yield, and quality through direct technical interface with supplier engineering teams.
• • Resolve production test issues using root cause analysis and corrective action, with 30% focus on maintaining operational stability and addressing yield and throughput deviations.
• • Monitor and improve key production metrics including yield, retest rate, cycle time, and throughput; lead implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
• • Manage hold-lot disposition for production-line quality events and lead customer-return RMA processes to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
• • Drive automation and standardization of manual, tribal-knowledge-based processes including pick-and-place packaging, optical alignment, and light coupling; convert these into documented, scalable, and automated production workflows.
• • Build, maintain, and release detailed test-procedure documentation for critical processes such as X/Y/Z stage calibration, laser-path tuning, and recipe management, ensuring integration into Semtech AgilePLM system.
• • Ensure test data integrity and compliance with customer requirements; partner with Semtech IT and customer teams to implement automated test-data transmission and API integrations for seamless e-data delivery.
• • Support test capacity ramp planning by qualifying new test equipment for Burn-In, LIP, ECL, and gain test functions; provide regular status updates to internal management and key customers on ongoing initiatives.
• • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Semtech and the supplier in Taipei, coordinating cross-functionally with business units, customers, and internal teams to sustain and scale Silicon Photonics production.
• • Maintain strong alignment with customer test-data expectations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant data delivery for shipment quality assurance.
• • Participate in equipment qualification processes and production scaling activities, contributing technical expertise to support growth in Silicon Photonics output.
• • Operate independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple concurrent projects, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action in dynamic, documentation-limited environments.
• • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally in English to global customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration across time zones and organizations.
• • Mentor and train supplier engineering personnel to transfer knowledge and build long-term capability in test processes and documentation standards.
