- • Design, build, and maintain mission-critical software platforms used by public safety agencies including police forces, schools, hospitals, and state entities to protect communities.
- • Work as a full-stack engineer across modern cloud-native systems, developing both backend services and frontend components in a collaborative team of approximately five engineers.
- • Implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and integrate with AWS services including DynamoDB, OpenSearch, SQS, and S3 for scalable, high-performance solutions.
- • Develop frontend interfaces using flexible frameworks such as Angular, React, or vanilla JavaScript, with a focus on micro-frontends and reusable web components for embeddable integrations.
- • Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to enhance code quality, accelerate feature delivery, and improve developer productivity.
- • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, testing, code review, deployment, and maintenance within an Agile sprint team structure.
- • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with cloud-native best practices.
- • Ensure high code quality through rigorous testing practices, peer reviews, and adherence to modern development standards.
- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features that directly impact public safety outcomes and operational efficiency.
- • Work in a remote-first environment with the flexibility to operate from anywhere in Brazil, while participating in occasional team gatherings in São Paulo.
- • Engage in continuous learning and adoption of emerging technologies, including evolving cloud patterns, AI-assisted tooling, and modern frontend/backend frameworks.
- • Maintain strong communication and alignment with team members through clear written and verbal collaboration in English.
- • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and serverless microservices that support internal and external customer use cases.
- • Focus on impact-driven development, understanding that your work enables first responders and critical infrastructure to operate more effectively and safely.
- • Operate with autonomy in technical decision-making while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the team.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in software engineering (full-stack or backend-focused)
- • 3+ years with TypeScript or JavaScript in production environments
- • 3+ years with NodeJS for backend development
- • 2+ years with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, or equivalent experience with Azure/GCP demonstrating transferable serverless and cloud-native skills)
- • 2+ years with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
- • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices or serverless architectures
- • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for team collaboration
