- • Serve as the primary point of contact for key IT channel partners and distributors across Australia, driving growth in NETGEAR’s Commercial/Enterprise segment through strategic account management and partner development.
- • Recruit, onboard, and cultivate relationships with value-added distributors and specialist partners focused on wireless access points, switches, and cloud-supported networking solutions.
- • Expand NETGEAR’s distribution footprint by identifying and engaging partners in key vertical markets to build a robust project pipeline and increase market penetration.
- • Manage a portfolio of existing partner accounts to grow share of business across all product categories, ensuring alignment with NETGEAR’s corporate revenue and margin targets.
- • Develop and execute tailored business plans, proposals, and sales strategies to outperform competitors and establish category leadership within assigned territories.
- • Negotiate and manage product pricing, margins, and contractual terms with partners in accordance with NETGEAR’s guidelines and agreed-upon commercial frameworks.
- • Conduct weekly sales forecasting, competitive intelligence reporting, and market trend analysis to inform strategic decisions and optimize pipeline performance.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems to track partner activity, sales progress, and customer engagement metrics.
- • Plan and prioritize face-to-face engagements with partners, including joint calls with integrators and end customers, partner office visits, and trade show participation to generate leads and build awareness.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, Technical Support, and Operations teams to resolve partner and customer issues and align on go-to-market initiatives.
- • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members to help define clear goals, strategies, and performance metrics that elevate overall regional sales outcomes.
- • Travel approximately 70% of the time to support partner engagements, customer visits, industry events, and internal meetings across Australia.
- • Continuously expand product and market knowledge to remain a trusted advisor to partners and a credible representative of NETGEAR’s technology portfolio.
- • Respond promptly and professionally to sales inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions, ensuring high levels of partner satisfaction and service quality.
- • Uphold ethical sales practices and maintain NETGEAR’s reputation as the most trusted network equipment partner in the Australian enterprise market.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of relevant experience in IT sales and sales team management, preferably within a channel sales or partner engagement role for a networking vendor
- • Proven track record in sales and business development with strong closing skills and the ability to win against better-resourced competitors
- • Demonstrated success managing a sales channel or partner engagement pipeline, including administration and reporting
- • Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time, including joint calls with partners, trade shows, and partner office visits
