- • As a Sr. Underwriting Compliance Auditor at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of underwriting files and group tax documentation, directly supporting the well-being of 3.4 million customers through rigorous audit operations.
- • Day to day, you will conduct audits of underwriting files including applications, tax documentation, financial statements, and supporting records; review tax forms such as wage reports and payroll records to validate group eligibility; ensure underwriting decisions comply with internal guidelines and regulatory standards; identify discrepancies and documentation gaps; communicate audit results to cross-functional teams; document findings and maintain audit workpapers; support follow-up audits and corrective action plans; maintain knowledge of underwriting rules and regulatory changes (ACA, ERISA, TN state law, IRS); track audit trends; and mentor junior auditors on complex audits and quality reviews.
