Sr. User Experience Researcher (Remote)

• • As a Senior User Experience Researcher at Rula Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping mental health care experiences by deeply understanding patient needs, motivations, and challenges, ensuring that product design is rooted in real human insights and behavioral data to improve access and outcomes.
• • You will lead end-to-end research initiatives—from planning and execution to synthesis and presentation—partnering with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data teams to translate user insights into actionable product strategies that enhance the patient journey and drive meaningful innovation.

• • In this role, you will develop and advocate for research roadmaps, identify high-impact opportunities, and mentor others in research best practices, helping to embed a user-centered culture that elevates the voice of patients and providers throughout the product lifecycle.
• • What the person will do day to day:
• • Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies, including usability tests, in-depth user interviews, surveys, diary studies, and behavioral analytics analysis, to uncover insights about patient and provider experiences with mental health care platforms.
• • Synthesize complex data from multiple sources—such as user feedback, product analytics, and clinical workflows—into clear, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations that inform product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and UX design decisions.
• • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, and Engineering to integrate research findings into sprint planning, design critiques, and solution validation, ensuring user needs are centered throughout development.
• • Present research insights to stakeholders at all levels, tailoring communication for executives, product leads, and technical teams using visual storytelling, journey maps, and data-driven narratives to drive alignment and decision-making.
• • Define and evolve Rula’s research practices by establishing standards, sharing methodologies, and advocating for inclusive, ethical research that accounts for diverse patient populations and accessibility needs.
• • Monitor and analyze behavioral data from tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel to identify trends, friction points, and opportunities for improvement in user engagement and care pathways.
