📋 Description

  • • Keyrock NV is at the forefront of the digital asset space, established in 2017 and rapidly growing into a leading change-maker. With a global team of over 240 professionals from 45 nationalities, we foster a diverse and inclusive environment, predominantly remote with hubs in London, Brussels, Singapore, and Paris. Our expertise spans market making, options trading, high-frequency trading, OTC, and DeFi trading desks, operating on more than 80 exchanges. We are pioneers in adopting Rust for algorithmic trading and actively contribute to the Web3 ecosystem through our Accelerator Program, liquidity injection into DeFi, RWA, and NFT protocols, and industry research.
  • • The Central Infrastructure Team (CIT) is the backbone of Keyrock's operations, ensuring the smooth running of all production systems. We achieve this by leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and platform automation to design, build, and maintain highly reliable and scalable systems. Our mission is to continuously enhance the reliability of our scalable software systems, aligning with Keyrock's internal architecture and enabling the Engineering team to balance speed and stability at scale.
  • • As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) within the Central Infrastructure Team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing our cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on AWS, Kubernetes, and modern DevSecOps practices. This position is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining the highly scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure that underpins our critical trading operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our mission-critical systems, directly impacting our ability to operate effectively in the fast-paced digital asset market.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of critical SRE functions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles to design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient environments. This includes hands-on administration and optimization of our Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they are highly available, secure, and performant for our containerized applications.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve the implementation and management of robust CI/CD pipelines, streamlining the deployment, testing, and monitoring processes for our applications. You will develop and maintain comprehensive observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the LGTM stack to proactively identify and address potential issues, thereby enhancing system reliability. Security and compliance are paramount; you will apply best practices for cloud security, manage IAM policies meticulously, and ensure adherence to compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and ISO 27001.
  • • You will be on the front lines of incident response, troubleshooting complex issues, performing thorough root cause analysis, and implementing effective fixes to optimize system performance and prevent recurrence. The use of IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible will be central to automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with software engineering, architecture, and security teams to foster a strong DevOps culture and disseminate best practices across the organization. Furthermore, you will design and implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategies, guaranteeing business continuity even in the face of unforeseen failures.
  • • We are looking for individuals with a strong foundation in cloud computing, automation, and CI/CD, who are passionate about reliability and performance. An interest in or exposure to trading or similar financial themes is a plus, though not essential. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles. AWS certification, such as the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, is highly desirable.
  • • You will demonstrate strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.) and possess hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments (EKS, K3s, or self-managed clusters). Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages is essential, as is experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) is expected, alongside a solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewalls).
  • • Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices is required. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in high-performance and low-latency systems, and familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven computing. Knowledge of Rust compilation processes and techniques, while not mandatory, would be a significant advantage. You should be comfortable collaborating and communicating asynchronously, actively seeking opportunities to improve system availability and performance through diligent monitoring and analysis. A strong team spirit, a sense of ownership, and critical thinking skills are vital. Exposure to cloud cost optimization and FinOps strategies is beneficial, as is previous experience in Crypto, Traditional Finance (TradFi), or Trading environments, though these are not prerequisites.
  • • At Keyrock, we value self-awareness, powerful communication, and a fierce passion for excellence. We seek individuals who understand themselves, their career aspirations, and have made a conscious choice to excel in this field. The perfect candidate is a driven, collaborative individual who acts with ownership and consistently delivers solid, scalable outcomes. We are committed to building a positive and collaborative work environment, welcoming employees from all backgrounds and hiring, rewarding, and promoting based solely on merit and performance. Background checks are a prerequisite for joining Keyrock due to business and external requirements.
