đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Staff Accountant specializing in Client Funds at Wrapbook, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial operations, particularly concerning the movement and reconciliation of client funds. This pivotal role demands a meticulous and analytical mind, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, high-volume transaction environment. You will own the critical daily cash reconciliations, bridging the gap between Wrapbook's internal ledger and our diverse payment systems. This isn't just about balancing books; it's about understanding the intricate logic of money movement, untangling complex data sets, and playing a key role in building the future of client funds reconciliation at Wrapbook.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be the end-to-end ownership of daily cash reconciliations for client funds. This involves meticulously comparing transactions across various platforms, identifying any discrepancies, and conducting thorough investigations to understand their root cause. In a high-volume payments-driven environment, speed and accuracy are paramount. You will be expected to dive deep into large datasets, tracing the flow of funds to ensure everything aligns perfectly.
  • • A significant part of this role involves the identification, documentation, and manual recording of any missing or incomplete money movements. This will often require the preparation and posting of precise journal entries related to cash, assets, and liabilities, ensuring our internal ledger accurately reflects all financial activities. Your work will directly impact the reliability of our financial reporting and the confidence our clients and stakeholders have in our platform.
  • • You will develop a profound understanding of the end-to-end money movement processes within Wrapbook. This includes gaining deep expertise in our money movement architecture, understanding how funds flow between client accounts, payment processors, banking partners, and our internal systems. This holistic view is essential for identifying potential risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • • Collaboration is key. You will partner closely with various departments, including Engineering, Product, Data, Client Operations, and Corporate Accounting. By working cross-functionally, you will help improve the visibility and confidence in client fund balances and related assets and liabilities. Your insights will be invaluable in supporting accurate financial reporting and strengthening our overall financial controls.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to help define and mature our reconciliation processes. You will be instrumental in documenting and mapping out end-to-end money movement workflows, building crucial institutional knowledge about fund timing, dependencies, and edge cases. This process mapping will create a solid foundation for scalability and operational efficiency.
  • • Furthermore, you will actively contribute to our automation and AI-assisted reconciliation initiatives. This involves translating real-world reconciliation challenges into actionable requirements for scalable solutions. Your curiosity about process improvement, automation, and AI will be highly valued as we strive to innovate and enhance our operational capabilities.
  • • The ideal candidate thrives on complex puzzles, enjoys dissecting large datasets, and possesses a natural inclination to understand the 'why' behind financial discrepancies. If you are a critical thinker, a natural problem-solver, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving towards accurate financial outcomes, this role is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact at a rapidly growing technology company.
  • • You will be empowered to take ownership, drive improvements, and contribute to the strategic financial health of Wrapbook. This position is perfect for someone who is not only adept at the technical aspects of accounting but also possesses a forward-thinking mindset, eager to shape and optimize financial processes for future growth and technological advancements. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency, security, and scalability of our client funds management, a core component of Wrapbook's success.
