Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end compensation accounting cycle for a global, fully-remote leadership-advisory firm that counts Fortune-100 CEOs and top-tier investors as clients. You will calculate, validate, and post every commission, bonus, and 401(k) accrual across North America, EMEA, and APAC entities—ensuring that 175+ high-performing colleagues are paid correctly and on time.
- • Build and maintain a bulletproof commission engine in MS Dynamics GP and BI360, integrating data from Salesforce opportunities and custom spreadsheets. You will design repeatable templates, automate reconciliations, and create dashboards that give the Controller and CFO real-time insight into compensation spend and forecast accuracy.
- • Reconcile all payroll-related GL accounts (salaries, commissions, employer taxes, insurance, garnishments) to ADP reports, carrier invoices, and bank statements every month. You will investigate variances down to the penny, propose correcting entries, and document the trail for auditors, tax authorities, and external service providers.
- • Partner with Sales Operations, HR, and Practice Leaders to translate complex compensation plans into clear accounting policies. You will train new hires on how commissions are calculated, field daily questions from Partners, and continuously refine process documentation so that knowledge is never siloed.
- • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for payroll, bonus accruals, PTO payouts, deferred compensation, and fringe benefits. You will ensure GAAP compliance, maintain detailed support files, and coordinate with external auditors to deliver PBC schedules ahead of deadlines.
- • Deliver ad-hoc analyses that drive strategic decisions—e.g., cohort-level commission leakage studies, ROI on retention bonuses, or scenario modeling for new incentive structures. Your insights will directly influence how ghSMART rewards performance and retains world-class talent.
- • Champion process-improvement initiatives. Whether it’s scripting an Excel macro to cut reconciliation time by 40 %, implementing a new BI360 cube for dynamic reporting, or piloting AI tools to flag anomalies, you will leave every workflow better than you found it.
- • Uphold ghSMART’s culture of generosity and gratitude by mentoring junior staff, sharing best practices on Slack, and contributing to cross-functional projects that amplify the firm’s positive impact on global leadership.
