📋 Description

• As a Staff Accountant on the SEC & Policy team at Hims & Hers Health, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), directly supporting transparency and investor confidence in a publicly traded healthcare innovator.
• You will contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K), assist in drafting financial statement footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules, and partner with Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations to uphold the highest standards of financial disclosure integrity.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating with external auditors during reviews and annual audits, assisting in SOX compliance efforts through internal control documentation and testing, conducting technical accounting research on emerging U.S. GAAP standards and SEC regulations, and summarizing findings for policy development.
• You will support the maintenance of internal accounting policies and technical memos, assist with equity transaction accounting, and identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes through automation, improved documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• You will stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices, proactively contributing to continuous improvement in financial reporting while working closely with a talented, mission-driven finance team.
• The SEC & Policy team operates at the intersection of finance, legal, and corporate governance, serving as a trusted advisor to ensure Hims & Hers meets its obligations as a NYSE-listed company with precision and integrity.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and public company compliance, building a strong foundation for advancement into senior accounting, policy, or finance leadership positions.
• You will gain hands-on experience with complex financial disclosures, audit coordination, and regulatory research, enhancing your ability to navigate evolving accounting standards and contribute strategically to organizational goals.

🎯 Requirements

• 2-4+ years of accounting experience, with Big 4 firm or public company experience strongly preferred
• CPA certification or active progress toward obtaining CPA is strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a top-tier university
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with SEC reporting (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) is strongly preferred
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail and high organizational ability
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines accurately
• Strong collaborative mindset with ability to thrive in remote and in-person settings
