- • As a Staff AI Architect at Textlayer Inc., you will play a critical role in designing and maintaining the frontend and backend architecture for advanced AI systems, including retrieval-augmented generation, agentic systems, and tool integrations, directly contributing to the company’s mission of bridging the AI implementation gap for enterprises and startups.
- • Day to day, you will architect and maintain Python-based services using FastAPI, build and scale secure API endpoints for LLMs and vector stores, implement orchestration logic for agent workflows, optimize service performance and latency, collaborate with frontend, AI, and DevOps teams for reliability and observability, set up test coverage and CI pipelines, contribute to modular agent architectures, stay current with AI engineering trends, drive technical strategy and roadmap, and mentor senior and mid-level engineers on architecture and best practices.
- • Textlayer Inc. helps enterprises and funded startups deploy advanced AI systems without rewriting their infrastructure, working across fintech, healthtech, and other sectors to turn AI potential into practical, production-ready results through deep technical expertise and proven frameworks.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in scalable AI infrastructure, influence technical direction across teams, gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge LLM integrations and agentic systems, and grow as a technical leader by mentoring engineers and shaping the evolution of agentic software in real-world applications.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with at least 3 years building scalable backend systems in Python
- • Strong knowledge of Flask or FastAPI for building and scaling production grade APIs
- • Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LiteLLM) and integrating OpenAI/Anthropic APIs
- • Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and RAG patterns
- • Experience building and maintaining infrastructure that integrates with frontends, CLIs, and external APIs
- • Comfortable with GitHub, Docker, and CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- • Proficiency in writing robust, tested, and well-documented backend code
- • Track record of leading technical initiatives and influencing architecture across teams
