- • The Software Engineer III (MuleSoft Integration Senior Developer) designs, develops, tests, deploys, and supports enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform for PG&E’s electric and gas operations, customer systems, and enterprise platforms, enabling secure, reliable, and scalable integrations critical to operational excellence, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
- • Day to day, the role involves designing and developing Mule 4 applications using API-led connectivity, building RESTful and event-driven integrations with RAML/OpenAPI and DataWeave, implementing secure integrations with OAuth 2.0 and mutual TLS, conducting unit and integration testing via MUnit, supporting CI/CD pipelines, managing deployments across environments, providing Level 2/3 production support, monitoring integration health, creating technical documentation, and mentoring junior developers.
- • The team collaborates with enterprise architects, product owners, business partners, operations teams, and regulatory stakeholders within PG&E’s IT organization, contributing to long-term architecture and modernization roadmap while ensuring solutions meet functional, security, and compliance standards.
- • The person can achieve technical leadership in enterprise integration, deepen expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and API-led connectivity, gain experience in highly regulated utility environments, develop mentorship and collaboration skills, and contribute to mission-critical systems supporting public utility operations and regulatory obligations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 5+ years of experience in enterprise integration development
- • 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience using Mule 4 and Anypoint Platform
- • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure, scalable APIs and integrations in complex enterprise environments
- • Experience supporting systems with high availability, reliability, and regulatory oversight
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to operational risk
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across IT, operations, and business teams
