📋 Description

• As a Staff AI Engineer – AI Product at ClickUp, you will drive the development of intelligent, user-facing features powered by the latest advancements in AI and large language models (LLMs), directly impacting how users interact with tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search in a unified AI-native workspace.
• Day to day, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered features, collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate user needs into technical solutions, integrate and orchestrate multiple LLMs for context-aware experiences, prototype and iterate on new AI functionalities using user feedback, and ensure reliability, scalability, and performance in production environments.
• You will join ClickUp’s Engineering team, an AI-native company where every team member leverages AI daily and AI fluency is part of the hiring process, working in a mission-driven culture focused on redefining productivity through converged AI workspace innovation.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in LLMs and AI orchestration, shape product direction through technical leadership, mentor fellow engineers in AI best practices, and gain experience addressing AI privacy, security, and compliance challenges while applying cutting-edge research to real-world user problems.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience building and shipping AI-powered features or products in a production environment
• Deep understanding of LLMs and AI models, including their strengths, limitations, and integration strategies
• 5+ years of backend and/or full-stack engineering experience with proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages
• Experience working with orchestration frameworks and integrating multiple AI models to deliver cohesive user experiences
• Experience developing evaluation frameworks and metrics for AI features with a focus on user impact and business value
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and translate product requirements into technical solutions
