Staff Android Engineer (Clients Platform)

📋 Description

• • As a Staff Android Engineer on Reddit’s Android Platform team, you will set the technical direction for the Android app and its development ecosystem, ensuring scalability for over 100M+ daily active users.
• • You will own and shape the app’s architecture, improve developer experience through tooling and CI/CD enhancements, define quality guardrails, build client health and observability foundations, apply AI to engineering workflows, and mentor fellow engineers.
• • The Android Platform team designs, builds, and supports the Android app and its ecosystem (libraries, frameworks, observability, build/CI tooling) used by every team at Reddit to ship delightful user experiences.
• • In this role, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, influence technical direction across teams, and deepen your expertise in large-scale Android platform engineering, AI-augmented development, and system architecture for high-scale applications.
