📋 Description

• As a Staff Applied AI Engineer at StackBlitz, you will lead the technical direction of AI agents that transform natural language into production-ready applications, shaping how the company leverages LLMs to solve complex challenges in code generation, context management, and workflow orchestration.
• You will define AI agent architecture, drive multi-provider model strategy, architect tool use and workflow systems, provide cross-team leadership, establish data and evaluation standards, and drive research and innovation in NLP and LLM technologies.
• You will join a globally distributed, fully remote team of engineers, designers, and creatives building the future of software development through WebContainers and Bolt.new — the AI-powered platform enabling instant full-stack app creation in the browser.
• In this role, you will influence the AI strategy across the organization, mentor senior engineers, shape evaluation frameworks, and directly impact the experience of over a million monthly users building real-world applications with Bolt.

🎯 Requirements

• Familiarity with TypeScript and willingness to work in it daily
• Extensive hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including building and scaling production AI systems
• Deep expertise in prompt engineering, with ability to establish best practices and mentor others
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience designing scalable systems
• Ability to drive ambiguous, high-scope problems to completion with minimal oversight
• Experience establishing data collection and analysis practices, building evaluation frameworks, and translating insights into improvements
