- • The Staff Auditor I role at Ryder System, Inc. supports the Ryder Audit Services (RAS) team in delivering internal audit services that add value, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations across the organization.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting SOX compliance objectives through walkthroughs and testing of controls, participating in audits of business processes and technology, conducting interviews and document reviews to understand operations, and communicating findings via written reports and oral presentations to management.
- • The RAS team is a high-performing unit focused on audit and advisory activities, actively expanding its use of data analytics to improve audit effectiveness and operational efficiency through automation.
- • In this role, the individual will develop professional auditing skills, gain exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley, financial, compliance, and technology audits, build relationships with stakeholders, and pursue professional development through training and certifications.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, information systems/technology, or a related field
- • One (1) year or more of experience in auditing, accounting, information systems/technology, or a related area preferred
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas) considered a plus
