- • Design, build, and operate secure, scalable multi-account AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt to drive standardization, reusable modules, and reduced configuration drift.
- • Evolve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to enable faster, safer, and more reliable software releases across the engineering organization.
- • Build self-service platforms and automation tools that reduce developer friction and eliminate manual operational toil.
- • Own cloud architecture across compute, networking, IAM, secrets management, observability, and security controls while ensuring ongoing SOC2 and compliance alignment.
- • Implement comprehensive monitoring, observability, and alerting systems to improve operational visibility and incident readiness.
- • Partner directly with software engineers to enhance system reliability, scalability, and deployment safety through infrastructure improvements.
- • Drive AWS cost optimization and operational efficiency without compromising engineering velocity or innovation.
- • Mentor engineers and elevate infrastructure, security, and operational maturity across the organization through technical leadership and clear communication.
- • Actively use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as a core part of daily workflows for infrastructure provisioning, automation, debugging, and productivity.
- • Safely evaluate, validate, and operationalize AI-generated solutions in production environments, ensuring reliability and security.
- • Apply AI-enabled operational workflows and demonstrate familiarity with LLM platforms such as Amazon Bedrock in daily engineering practices.
- • Maintain production-grade systems supporting MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases with observability via Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or CloudWatch.
- • Write maintainable, production-quality code in Python, TypeScript, Bash, or similar languages to build automation frameworks, APIs, and tooling.
- • Support and improve infrastructure maturity through standardized, fully automated deployment models, reducing reliance on legacy patterns.
- • Promote a culture of high-autonomy, remote-first engineering with measurable cross-team operational improvements.
- • Ensure all cloud platforms align with company-wide goals for security, compliance, cost efficiency, and developer productivity.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years building and operating production AWS systems in multi-account environments
- • Strong expertise with Terraform and multi-account/multi-environment IaC patterns (Terragrunt strongly preferred)
- • Strong software engineering background with production experience building applications, services, APIs, automation frameworks, and tooling
- • Strong experience with modern CI/CD systems and automated deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- • Experience supporting production databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and observability platforms (Datadog, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or equivalent)
- • Actively use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as a core part of daily workflows
