📋 Description

• The Staff Contractor Program Security Officer (R4908) is a critical role responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of contractor programs within Shield AI’s operations, directly supporting the company’s mission to protect service members and civilians through intelligent systems.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing security protocols for contractor engagements, conducting risk assessments, monitoring compliance with federal and internal security standards (such as NIST, DFARS, and ITAR), coordinating with legal and procurement teams, and serving as the primary point of contact for contractor security inquiries and audits.
• Shield AI is a venture-backed deep-tech company founded in 2015, specializing in AI-powered autonomous systems for defense applications, with global operations across the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, and a strong commitment to innovation and national security.
• In this role, the individual will gain deep expertise in defense contractor security compliance, influence enterprise-wide security policy, collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and legal, and advance their career in government contracting security within a high-impact, mission-driven organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Security, Criminal Justice, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in contractor security, industrial security, or government contracting compliance
• Thorough knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR, and NISPOM regulations
• Experience conducting security risk assessments and managing security clearance processes
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (Secret or higher)
