📋 Description

• As a Staff Data Scientist on Reddit’s Ads team, you will drive high-impact initiatives that enhance advertiser value through advanced data science, focusing on identity resolution, measurement, and signal quality to power a differentiated ads business.
• Day to day, you will design probabilistic models for identity resolution, advance lift methodologies and experimentation, maximize signal for predictive performance, define ground truth and evaluation frameworks, and lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and sales teams to translate insights into action.
• You will join a highly collaborative Ads Data Science team at Reddit that leverages data to maximize advertiser value through robust data foundations, metrics, and strategic insights, working on complex problems in ads measurement, campaign management, advertiser growth, and brand-community engagement.
• In this role, you will set a high technical bar, mentor others, champion best practices in modeling and experimentation, and influence strategic direction while gaining deep expertise in ads identity, causal inference, and large-scale experimentation systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research
• For M.S. holders: 10+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science; for Ph.D. holders: 6+ years of industry experience
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of: Measurement & Experimentation at Scale, Identity Graph Creation & Resolution, or Predictive Modeling with Signal Loss
• Advanced proficiency in statistical programming (Python or R) and SQL, with experience in machine learning or optimization techniques
• Strong understanding of experimental design, causal inference, or A/B testing methodologies
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a track record of influencing product and engineering partners
