- • Join Reddit as a Staff Data Scientist, Ads, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of advertising on one of the internet's most vibrant platforms. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your deep expertise in data science to drive significant impact within Reddit's primary revenue-generating business. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced analytical solutions that enhance advertiser value, optimize campaign performance, and contribute to the strategic growth of Reddit's advertising ecosystem. Your work will directly influence how advertisers connect with Reddit's passionate communities, making this a high-visibility and high-impact position.
- • As a Staff Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of tackling complex challenges within the advertising domain. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of critical areas. You will be tasked with designing and developing sophisticated probabilistic models for identity resolution, a crucial component for linking on-platform and off-platform user actions while rigorously adhering to privacy standards. This involves creating methodologies that maximize addressability and user understanding in a privacy-conscious world. Furthermore, you will own the statistical integrity of Reddit’s Brand and Conversion Lift products, innovating experimental designs and building robust infrastructure to support large-scale, high-velocity, and low-bias testing for advertisers. This ensures that advertisers can accurately measure the true impact of their campaigns. A significant part of your role will involve maximizing the predictive performance of our ad systems by defining strategies for incorporating new signal sources. You will mathematically quantify the value of these signals and collaborate with modeling teams to integrate them into predictive models, thereby directly enhancing bidding efficiency and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). You will also be responsible for defining ground truth and evaluation frameworks to address the industry-wide challenge of validating identity and measurement. This includes designing objective functions and truth sets essential for training our models and accurately measuring the incremental impact of our identity graph.
- • You will be joining the Ads Data Science team, a highly collaborative group of passionate data scientists and engineers dedicated to maximizing advertiser value on Reddit. This team leverages robust data foundations, key metrics, and strategic insights derived from experimentation and cutting-edge data science methodologies. They operate across a diverse range of challenging problems, including ads and platform measurement, campaign and creative management, advertiser growth and retention, monetization, and the intricate intersection of brand engagement and community interaction. The team is committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible with machine learning and statistical modeling, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
