📋 Description
- • Drive awareness of LiveKit among new developer audiences, with a primary focus on growing presence in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- • Plan, host, and participate in developer events including meetups, hackathons, workshops, and industry conferences.
- • Partner with Marketing to amplify event reach through digital channels and ensure sustained engagement beyond live events.
- • Create content from events such as recaps, demos, tutorials, blog posts, and social media updates to extend impact and educate broader developer communities.
- • Serve as a feedback loop between developers and LiveKit by collecting and translating community insights—trends, pain points, and emerging narratives—into actionable product and messaging inputs.
- • Represent LiveKit on stage and in developer forums by delivering authentic, technically accurate presentations about real-time audio and video technology.
- • Experiment with new event formats and engagement tactics to identify what resonates most with developer audiences.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with DevRel, Product Marketing, and Product teams to ensure consistent, compelling, and authentic developer narratives across all channels.
- • Build and nurture relationships within local and global developer communities to strengthen LiveKit’s brand and adoption.
- • Deliver hands-on technical demonstrations, code samples, and prototypes to illustrate LiveKit’s platform capabilities to developers.
- • Travel to conferences and events as needed to represent LiveKit and expand community reach beyond the Bay Area.
- • Act as a visible and approachable advocate for LiveKit, fostering trust and credibility among developers who may not yet be familiar with the platform.
- • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging explanations tailored to diverse developer skill levels and backgrounds.
- • Leverage event feedback and community input to inform product roadmap priorities and communication strategies.
- • Maintain an active presence in developer ecosystems through speaking engagements, online forums, and community-driven initiatives.
- • Ensure all community interactions reflect LiveKit’s mission to empower developers building voice-driven applications.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in Developer Advocacy, Developer Relations, or Technical Evangelism with a strong emphasis on events and community engagement.
- • Comfortable being outward-facing, with proven experience speaking to groups, hosting sessions, and building relationships in developer communities.
- • Strong technical communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly through presentations and written content.
- • Hands-on technical background, including ability to write code samples, run live demos, or build prototypes.
- • Experience planning and executing developer events such as meetups, hackathons, workshops, or conference tracks.
- • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with willingness to travel for conferences and events.
