📋 Description

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for cross-functional engineering initiatives across Aircall’s AI-powered customer communications platform.
• Drive the delivery of high-impact, scalable solutions using Node.js and TypeScript back-end stacks hosted on AWS.
• Set and enforce quality standards for system architecture, security practices, and DevOps workflows across engineering teams.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor to engineering teams, promoting best practices in code quality, observability, and system resilience.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to align technical execution with business goals and customer outcomes.
• Design and implement resilient services that integrate with customers’ critical business tools including CRM, Helpdesk, and E-Commerce platforms.
• Champion the adoption of AI-driven features such as AI Voice Agent, AI Assist, and AI Assist Pro into core product architecture.
• Influence technical direction across multiple domains by providing clear guidance on trade-offs, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Ensure engineering practices evolve with the company’s rapid growth, balancing speed, reliability, and technical debt reduction.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and incident post-mortems to elevate team performance and system reliability.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications that enable fast, secure, and scalable product delivery.
• Work within a data-driven culture to measure system performance, customer impact, and engineering efficiency.
• Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and thoughtful speed across engineering teams.
• Contribute to hiring and onboarding technical talent, helping scale the engineering organization while maintaining high standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure, real-time communications, and AI integration to inform platform evolution.
• Ensure all systems meet compliance and security requirements for handling sensitive customer communications data.
• Enable seamless voice, SMS, and WhatsApp integrations within a unified workspace that supports 22,000+ global companies.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Staff Engineer or equivalent senior technical leadership role
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript for building scalable back-end systems
• Extensive experience designing and deploying services on AWS
• Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional technical initiatives and influencing engineering teams without direct authority
