📋 Description

• Staff Engineer, Flight Test (R4914) at Shield AI, Inc. is a critical role focused on ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of advanced unmanned aircraft systems through rigorous flight testing and data-driven validation.
• The person will lead and execute flight test campaigns for V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, develop test plans, conduct pre-flight and post-flight analysis, troubleshoot system anomalies, and collaborate with engineering teams to integrate feedback into design improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in flight test engineering, unmanned aircraft systems, or aerospace testing
• Proficiency in flight test planning, data acquisition, and post-flight analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar
• Experience with UAS operations, airworthiness standards, and flight safety protocols
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required for defense-related work
