📋 Description

• Serve as the technical lead and quality standard for the Forward Deployed AI Engineering team, reviewing solutions, setting architectural patterns, and ensuring consistency and excellence across all customer engagements
• Own and lead the AI & Data Science function by building cross-customer intelligence systems including vulnerability prioritization models, configuration baselines, threat intelligence pipelines, and detection optimization tools derived directly from customer engagements
• Ensure a tight, continuous feedback loop between Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) customer work and the internal AI & Data Science function—no tickets, no handoffs, direct collaboration only
• Work closely with the Security Engineering & Automation (SE&A) team to operationalize AI/DS-built tools, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and deliverable to customers without requiring FDE intervention
• Define the technical direction for documenting, packaging, and integrating FDE-built solutions into the broader TENEX platform for reuse across all customer accounts
• Mentor Senior and Forward Deployed Engineers, elevating the team’s technical proficiency in AI, data science, and cybersecurity domains through hands-on guidance and knowledge transfer
• Partner with the Director on team strategy, hiring standards, and long-term capability development to scale the FDE organization effectively
• Represent the FDE team’s technical perspective in cross-functional discussions with Product, SE&A, and Rapid Deployment teams to align platform development with real-world customer needs
• Operate at the highest level of technical complexity and strategic account engagement, applying expert-level programming skills to design data pipelines, ML systems, and AI applications in cybersecurity contexts
• Apply deep expertise across security operations, data science, and AI/ML domains to solve complex, real-time threats and improve detection efficacy for enterprise customers
• Build reusable technical platforms and systems that transform individual customer insights into scalable, organization-wide intelligence
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance startup environment where rapid iteration, direct customer impact, and autonomous decision-making are core to success
• Maintain strong customer-facing communication and collaboration abilities to translate technical solutions into actionable security outcomes for enterprise clients

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in technical roles with senior engineering or technical leadership experience
• Expert-level programming skills with experience designing data pipelines, ML systems, or AI applications
• Deep expertise across security operations, data science, and AI/ML domains
• Proven track record building cross-customer intelligence systems or reusable technical platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong mentorship and knowledge-transfer skills
