- • As a Staff Full Stack Engineer at CapiMoney Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in building the financial infrastructure for emerging markets trade, directly contributing to the company’s mission of making global finance fairer and more accessible by enabling businesses to expand, create jobs, and drive economic prosperity.
- • Day to day, you will lead technical direction within your team, mentor senior engineers through pairing and code reviews, own end-to-end delivery of complex projects from design to deployment, champion engineering best practices, ensure system reliability and observability, and write production-quality code while driving scalability and performance improvements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- • You will join a highly ambitious, globally distributed team of approximately 100 people across 10 countries, working closely with the founding team based in London and Paris to shape product vision and technical architecture, all while contributing to a culture of impact-driven engineering and innovation.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development using TypeScript, React, NextJS, NodeJS, Express, and PostgreSQL, gain experience in fintech and payments systems, influence company-wide reliability initiatives, and grow as a technical leader by mentoring others and shaping long-term technical health of the platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong understanding of web development, frontend and backend best practices, with primary experience in JavaScript/TypeScript technologies including React, NextJS, NodeJS, and Express.
- • Experience working in a VC-backed or high-growth engineering team, building customer-facing products in fast-paced, ambiguous environments typical of early-stage startups.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.
- • Based in London or Paris, with a genuine commitment to Capi’s mission of supporting African businesses and improving global trade infrastructure.
