- • As a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer at Binti, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical foundation of software that transforms social services for government agencies, directly contributing to the mission of keeping families together and improving outcomes for vulnerable children nationwide.
- • You will drive cross-team technical strategy, define engineering standards, and lead major architectural initiatives that impact scalability, reliability, and compliance across Binti’s platform, ensuring the engineering organization operates at a high level of technical excellence.
- • You will partner with Product, Policy, and Technical Account Management to translate complex social service workflows into scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions, balancing technical rigor with real-world user impact in high-stakes government environments.
- • You will mentor senior engineers, elevate team performance through code reviews and design critiques, and champion the adoption of AI-powered tooling to increase both individual and organizational efficiency and innovation.
- • You will own the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-quarter projects — such as building reusable platform layers for agency workflows, modeling non-biological human relationships, and enabling secure cross-agency application transfers — leaving a lasting impact on the product and engineering culture.
- • You will help define Binti’s engineering culture by fostering psychological safety, technical curiosity, and low-ego collaboration, ensuring the team can scale effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and inclusivity.
- • You will grow into a technical leader who not only solves hard problems but also enables others to do the same, gaining deep experience in enterprise-scale systems, government compliance (including HIPAA), and AI-augmented software development in a mission-driven context.
🎯 Requirements
- • Demonstrated track record leading large-scale infrastructure and architectural projects across multiple teams or systems
- • Deep experience building and maintaining configurable, enterprise-grade systems; government-facing software experience is a strong plus
- • Strong command of Ruby on Rails and React; GraphQL experience a plus
- • Ability to set technical direction, navigate ambiguity, make principled trade-offs, and bring others along
- • Excellent communication skills: you can distill complex technical decisions for product, engineering, and non-technical stakeholders
- • Experience mentoring and elevating senior engineers, with a genuine investment in team culture
- • Fluency applying AI tools in your own workflow and excitement about building AI-powered product features
