• This position is ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in dynamic, experimental environments, leveraging AI as a primary tool to accelerate development and explore novel solutions.
• You will be at the forefront of transforming complex, often ambiguous, product ideas into tangible, working prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).

• The Labs team operates with significant autonomy, allowing you to explore greenfield opportunities and validate concepts quickly, acting as a crucial bridge between initial ideas and production-ready features.
• You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including product managers, solution architects, actuaries, and domain experts, to validate hypotheses and push the boundaries of what's achievable in insurtech.
• A key aspect of this role involves embracing ambiguity, context-switching effectively between multiple projects, and demonstrating a high degree of self-sufficiency.
• The emphasis is on shipping functional solutions rapidly, iterating based on feedback, and making pragmatic decisions about when to refactor for long-term maintainability versus when to prioritize speed to market.
• You will be instrumental in building full-stack applications, encompassing user-friendly interfaces, robust APIs, and seamless integrations with various third-party services.
• A significant part of your work will involve utilizing AI tools, such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI code assistants, to enhance productivity, explore innovative approaches, and accelerate the development lifecycle.
• You will be responsible for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to support these rapid experimentation cycles.
• Effective communication is vital; you will need to clearly articulate technical risks, assess feasibility, and manage expectations regarding what can be realistically achieved within tight timeframes.
• This role demands collaboration across different functions with minimal direct supervision, empowering you to bring innovative ideas to life through proactive engagement and execution.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven history of delivering complex systems or features.
• Full-stack development expertise, including strong proficiency in Python and/or Go for backend development, experience with React or similar modern frontend frameworks, and experience with relational (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like GCP (preferred) or AWS, including provisioning environments, deploying services, and debugging in cloud-native setups, along with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools.
• Active and proficient use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ClaudeCode, Codex) in daily workflows, with the ability to quickly integrate APIs, services, and AI models to validate concepts.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS environments and a demonstrated shift towards AI-first development methodologies.
• Comfort with ambiguity, ability to context-switch, and a high degree of self-sufficiency in a fast-paced, experimental setting.
