- • Design, build, and scale enterprise-grade machine learning and generative AI solutions that directly impact dealers, consumers, and internal operations at Credit Acceptance Corporation.
- • Lead the development of AI-powered systems using advanced techniques including large language models (LLMs), deep learning, graph neural networks, reinforcement learning, and causal inference models.
- • Architect and deploy multi-agent GenAI systems using frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex to orchestrate complex workflows involving retrieval augmentation, data operations, and compliance verification.
- • Engineer robust Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines incorporating hybrid retrieval, reranking, query expansion, and contextual compression to enhance LLM accuracy and relevance.
- • Implement parameter-efficient fine-tuning strategies (LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT) to adapt foundation models to domain-specific use cases while optimizing for inference cost and latency.
- • Develop intelligent routing and orchestration systems to manage conversation state across multiple specialized AI agents, ensuring seamless transitions between system capabilities.
- • Build evaluation frameworks to measure LLM performance across factuality, coherence, task completion, and alignment with business objectives.
- • Integrate LLM solutions with existing enterprise architecture while ensuring compliance with data security policies, authentication mechanisms, and transaction safety requirements.
- • Collaborate with engineering, product, business operations, legal, and data teams to translate strategic business goals into actionable ML/AI roadmaps and quarterly deliverables.
- • Mentor and guide a team of Machine Learning Engineers on design principles, coding standards, and adoption of AI productivity tools.
- • Personalize recommendations and user layouts using deep learning methods and Bayesian contextual multi-armed bandits.
- • Drive long-term growth through data-driven causality and incrementality analysis using ML models such as XGBoost and Causal Meta-Learners.
- • Build and maintain scalable, secure, and well-tested ML and GenAI platforms, including inference pipelines for diverse model types.
- • Oversee the full lifecycle of AI/ML solutions—from business requirement definition through production deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization.
- • Apply model interpretability and responsible AI practices to ensure ethical and compliant deployment of AI systems.
- • Construct batch and streaming microservices exposed as gRPC and/or GraphQL endpoints to support real-time AI decisioning.
- • Utilize Databricks MLflow for ML lifecycle management, model versioning, and Databricks Model Serving for production deployments.
- • Maintain strong alignment with U.S. business hours to enable seamless collaboration with globally distributed teams.

🎯 Requirements
- • PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a relevant technical field with 5+ years of experience OR MS with 8+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering
- • 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI/ML models including LLMs, deep learning, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, and causal inference
- • 4+ years of experience building and deploying generative AI applications with expertise in LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent systems
- • Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action
