  • • As a Staff/Principal Full Stack Software Engineer at Axon Enterprise, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cloud-based Axon Records management system, a critical tool for law enforcement agencies worldwide.
  • • You will be instrumental in modernizing how police departments capture, manage, and access vital data, streamlining report writing and approval workflows through structured data entry, real-time collaboration, and intelligent automation.
  • • Your primary mission will be to reduce the administrative burden on officers, freeing them to spend more time serving and protecting their communities.
  • • This role demands a seasoned engineer with a deep interest in backend technologies, coupled with a solid understanding of frontend and mobile development challenges, enabling you to contribute holistically to our complex software ecosystem.
  • • You will be a key driver in the care, feeding, and growth of our scalable cloud-based systems and the engineering organizations that build them, instilling new ideas into our architecture and processes to support our next phase of expansion.

  • • You will be responsible for building and maintaining services that adhere to our stringent standards for availability and latency, crucial for a mission-critical public safety system.
  • • You will have the opportunity to work with and champion the adoption of the latest open-source technologies, keeping our stack modern and efficient.
  • • This position is based in our Boston office, following a hybrid schedule, requiring onsite presence Tuesdays through Fridays to foster in-person collaboration, with flexibility for remote work on Mondays, unless an accommodation is approved.
  • • You will report directly to the Director of Software Engineering, contributing to strategic technical direction and execution.
  • • The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to delivering high-quality software, and the ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams and global locations.

  • • Strong experience with databases, particularly SQL, will be essential for managing and querying the vast amounts of data our system handles.
