- • Lead end-to-end product design for Jerry’s core offerings including insurance, safety, repairs, and financing, shaping experiences used by over 5 million customers daily.
- • Design and ship 0→1 features that modernize car ownership for everyday drivers, addressing fragmented, analog processes with intuitive digital solutions.
- • Collaborate directly with research, product, and data teams to translate user insights and behavioral data into impactful, data-informed design decisions.
- • Build, evolve, and maintain Jerry’s design system to ensure visual consistency, scalability, and high-fidelity UX across mobile and web platforms.
- • Elevate the quality of visual and interaction design by prioritizing clarity, speed, and craft in every surface of the product.
- • Integrate AI-powered capabilities thoughtfully into the user experience to make interactions faster, more personal, and more predictive.
- • Define and champion what world-class design means at scale within Jerry, setting standards that influence product direction and brand perception for years to come.
- • Partner with Head of Design and CEO to align design strategy with company vision, ensuring design is central to achieving product-market fit and user retention.
- • Work alongside 11 product managers, 55 engineers, and 12 data scientists to rapidly iterate on features while maintaining high design quality in a fast-paced environment.
- • Own the entire design lifecycle—from initial research and concepting through prototyping, testing, launching, and post-launch iteration—without reliance on senior oversight.
- • Champion user-centered design principles while balancing business goals, technical constraints, and scalability needs across multiple product verticals.
- • Communicate design rationale effectively to cross-functional stakeholders using storytelling, prototypes, and clear documentation to align teams around shared goals.
- • Drive design innovation in a high-growth, profitable startup environment where decisions directly impact millions of users and company trajectory.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of product design experience (agency or in-house), ideally across mobile and web
- • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, thoughtful UX, and shipped consumer products at scale
- • Proven ability to own projects end-to-end—from research and concept to launch and iteration
- • Experience building and evolving design systems in collaboration with engineering
- • Comfort working in fast-paced environments and shipping quality work quickly
- • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to align cross-functional teams
