📋 Description

• Design complex back office and commercial SaaS experiences for home services businesses, focusing on financial and operational workflows.
• Develop deep expertise in multiple product areas to identify user pain points and design intuitive, data-driven solutions.
• Rapidly prototype interactive solutions using Figma and other remote collaboration tools to iterate toward shippable designs.
• Fluently integrate AI tools into daily design workflows to accelerate prototyping, explore ideas earlier, and enhance interaction design.
• Conduct user research including interviews, journey mapping, task flows, and usability testing to validate product ideas and inform design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to co-create solutions and ensure alignment across disciplines.
• Advocate for users in product strategy and roadmap discussions by representing their needs and translating insights into actionable design direction.
• Review and provide constructive feedback on peer design work to maintain high standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior designers by building their empathy for users, strengthening decision-making skills, and guiding them in user-centered design practices.
• Create simple, elegant designs that solve real-world problems while balancing strategy, research, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Work asynchronously across U.S. time zones with strong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
• Ship high-quality, impactful features on a fast-paced schedule without compromising user experience or design integrity.
• Represent the user in cross-functional teams and ensure design decisions are grounded in real user behavior and business goals.
• Build and maintain a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end UX, interaction, and visual design capabilities, including idea generation and prototyping.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience designing a modern SaaS or enterprise platform or one comparable
• An outstanding portfolio showcasing a range of UX, interaction, and visual design, and idea generation or prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions
• AI experience design: you understand how to make agentic workflows feel trustworthy, controllable, and clear to the people using them
• Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying the end-to-end iterative design process including design research, user stories, journey mapping, wire-framing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals
• Experience collaborating with other designers to build a cohesive product
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills; ability to help team and stakeholders understand the “why” behind design rationale
