📋 Description

• As a Staff Product Engineer at Attio Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical foundation of a next-generation CRM platform designed for the AI era, directly enabling ambitious go-to-market teams to understand customers, automate at scale, and build tailored growth motions—your work will ensure the platform remains robust, scalable, and delightful under increasing complexity.
• You will provide technical leadership across engineering teams, designing critical infrastructure components aligned with Attio’s technical strategy, setting high standards for quality and delivery speed, and ensuring cross-team initiatives are executed with precision and long-term maintainability in mind.
• You will actively grow engineering talent by mentoring and coaching engineers, participating in hiring, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and experimentation—especially in evolving areas like AI-native systems—to elevate the entire team’s capability and impact.
• You will drive business-aligned outcomes by optimizing trade-offs between speed and perfection, deeply understanding user needs and product usage patterns, and ensuring that technical decisions directly contribute to delivering uniquely valuable customer experiences.
• You will help define and evolve Attio’s software engineering standards, championing practices that ensure systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and maintainable, while advocating for thoughtful architecture that enables parallel innovation across teams.
• You will solve the company’s hardest technical problems both individually and through leadership, breaking down complex challenges into actionable goals for others, and demonstrating how technical architecture influences long-term system health and team productivity.
• You will cultivate a growth mindset within the team, embracing experimentation and learning from peers, staying open to new approaches in software engineering—particularly as AI reshapes development practices—and encouraging others to stretch beyond their comfort zones for personal and collective growth.
• You will bring a strong product and customer focus, using data and field insights to inform technical decisions, advocating for features that generate real user value, and ensuring that engineering efforts are tightly aligned with what matters most to Attio’s customers and business objectives.

🎯 Requirements

• First-class technical skills with deep expertise in distributed, cloud-native systems and the ability to think in systems rather than just writing code.
• Proven technical leadership experience, including a track record of delivering complex projects through others by breaking down large problems into manageable, ownable goals.
• Demonstrated passion for growing others’ skills through mentoring, coaching, and hiring, with evidence of impact in developing engineers and fostering a growth-oriented team culture.
