📋 Description
- • As a Staff Product Engineer at Parafin, you will play a central role in shaping the end-to-end experience of financial products for small businesses, working across the full stack from UI to APIs and backend services.
- • You will ship polished user experiences, own the underlying APIs and data models, and set a high bar for quality in performance, reliability, and user experience while driving architecture decisions and leading technical reviews.
- • You will partner closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to shape product direction, own roadmap decisions, and align cross-functional stakeholders on priorities and tradeoffs.
- • You will mentor engineers, improve team processes and code quality, and foster a culture of craft, ownership, and high standards through technical leadership and influence.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience building and shipping user-facing products as a full stack engineer with a track record of owning large, ambiguous problem spaces and driving them from concept to production.
- • Proficiency in building production-quality UIs using React and TypeScript, with experience designing APIs, working with data models, and debugging complex backend systems.
- • Strong user experience focus, with the ability to reason about UX quality and anticipate edge cases such as missing data or unexpected user behavior.
- • Ability to lead through influence, having driven cross-functional initiatives and aligned Engineering, Product, and Design around technical tradeoffs.
- • Opinionated about software engineering practices, with experience establishing abstractions, architecture, and patterns that improve maintainability and development efficiency across the product surface.
