đź“‹ Description
- • As a Staff Product Manager at Material Security, you will lead a cross-functional team to own and deliver end-to-end product experiences within Cloud Workspace Security, directly impacting how customers secure their digital environments through thoughtful, customer-centric innovation.
- • Your role is pivotal in transforming complex security challenges into intuitive, scalable workflows that solve real customer problems while aligning technical feasibility with business strategy and user needs.
- • Day to day, you will partner closely with engineering and design to define product vision, prioritize features based on customer impact and technical effort, and ensure seamless execution from concept to launch.
- • You will engage regularly with internal stakeholders and external customers to gather feedback, validate assumptions, and uncover unmet needs that inform future product direction and iterative improvements.
- • You will generate, evaluate, and shepherd both incremental and strategic product ideas — from small usability enhancements to major workflow overhauls — ensuring each delivers measurable value to users and the business.
- • You will maintain a hands-on, curious, and entrepreneurial mindset, stepping into ambiguity, asking probing questions, and driving clarity across teams even when formal processes are lacking.
- • You will communicate product strategy, trade-offs, and progress clearly to diverse audiences — including executives, engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams — fostering alignment and shared ownership of outcomes.
- • You will contribute to a culture of ownership and accountability, where stepping outside traditional role boundaries to solve problems is encouraged and expected.
- • Material Security is a remote-first company with a headquarters in San Francisco, fostering a distributed team culture that values autonomy, transparency, and inclusive collaboration across time zones.
- • The company is deeply committed to building secure, user-friendly cloud workspace solutions, and your work will directly support its mission to protect organizations from evolving cyber threats through elegant, intuitive product design.
- • In this role, you will grow your strategic influence, sharpen your ability to balance technical depth with user empathy, and emerge as a leader who can drive complex product initiatives from insight to impact at scale.
- • You will have the opportunity to shape the future of cloud security product design, gaining exposure to cutting-edge challenges in identity, data protection, and threat prevention while working alongside talented engineers and designers who value product excellence.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product experiences, preferably in B2B SaaS or security-related domains.
- • Strong product sense demonstrated through ability to synthesize customer insights, technical constraints, and business goals into coherent, innovative product strategies.
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing stakeholders across engineering, design, leadership, and go-to-market without formal authority.
- • Comfort working with technical concepts and trade-offs; familiarity with cloud security, identity management, or enterprise SaaS architectures is a plus.
- • Entrepreneurial mindset: ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, take initiative, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
- • Deep curiosity and customer obsession — consistently seeking to understand user problems and validate solutions through research and feedback.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive compensation range of $210,000–$250,000, reflecting the seniority and impact of the role.
- • Remote-first work environment with flexibility to work from anywhere, supported by a distributed team culture and optional access to the San Francisco office.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, plus 401(k) with company match to support long-term financial wellness.
- • Generous paid time off, including holidays and wellness days, designed to promote rest, recovery, and sustainable performance.
- • Professional development support, including learning stipends and access to conferences or courses that enhance product, leadership, or technical skills.
- • Inclusive, equity-focused workplace committed to diversity, belonging, and equal opportunity for all employees regardless of background or identity.
