- • While we are particularly interested in candidates based in Texas, we are open to exceptional applicants from across the Central U.S., with the expectation of periodic travel (typically monthly) for critical customer engagements and strategic meetings.
- • Architect and implement enterprise-scale analytics platforms, leveraging the power and flexibility of dbt Cloud to meet the most demanding customer requirements.
- • Actively partner with the Sales team to secure new business and expand existing accounts by articulating and demonstrating clear, quantifiable technical and business value.
- • Lead and manage complex proof-of-value (POV) engagements, ensuring successful technical evaluations and delivering impactful results that resonate with executive stakeholders.
- • Take ownership of the entire technical customer journey, from the initial pre-sales interactions through to long-term adoption, successful implementation, and strategic expansion of dbt solutions.
- • Collaborate effectively with Product Management and Engineering teams to provide critical feedback, influence the development of enterprise-grade features, and shape the future direction of the dbt platform.
- • Foster strong relationships and enable key technology partners, such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS, to accelerate customer success and drive integrated solutions.
- • Represent dbt Labs externally by actively participating in community leadership initiatives, contributing thought leadership through content and presentations, and engaging within the broader industry ecosystem.
- • Travel approximately 10–20% of the time to support key customer engagements, participate in executive meetings, and conduct on-site proof-of-value demonstrations.
- • Translate complex business challenges and technical requirements into scalable, practical, and effective data solutions that drive tangible business outcomes for our clients.
- • Develop and deliver persuasive technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to both technical practitioners and executive leadership, showcasing the unique value proposition of dbt.
- • Contribute to the development of best practices, playbooks, and internal knowledge sharing to elevate the technical capabilities of the entire Solutions Architecture team.
- • Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in data analytics, data engineering, and cloud technologies to maintain a leading-edge understanding of the market and customer needs.

- • Proactively identify opportunities for customers to leverage additional dbt features and capabilities, driving deeper platform adoption and expanding the scope of dbt's impact within their organizations.
- • Contribute to the development of compelling technical content, including case studies, white papers, and blog posts, to support sales enablement and market education efforts.
- • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to share expertise, build brand awareness, and network with potential customers and partners.
- • Serve as a technical point of contact for critical customer escalations, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution.
