- • As a Staff Security Engineer in Product Security at Mozilla, you will safeguard millions of users by embedding security into Firefox, Mozilla VPN, and other mission-critical products, ensuring privacy and safety are foundational to the internet experience.
- • Day to day, you will anticipate and mitigate risks through threat modeling, security assessments, and testing; perform security code reviews; lead penetration testing on web, mobile, and embedded applications; develop automated security tests in CI/CD pipelines; and partner with engineers to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle as a core design principle.
- • You will join Mozilla Corporation, a non-profit-backed technology company dedicated to building an open, accessible internet for people, not companies, with over 225 million monthly users worldwide and a mission-driven culture supported by thousands of volunteer contributors.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in application security, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and secure automation while influencing Mozilla’s security culture through guidance, education, and collaboration across teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in product and application security
- • 5+ years of experience and proficiency in secure coding practices, application security testing (SAST, DAST), threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment
- • Experience in one or more languages like Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript, required for automation and code review
- • Familiarity with security tools like Burp Suite, Nessus, and tools for CI/CD automation
- • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams
