- • As a Staff Security Platform Engineer at Gorgias, you will play a critical role in strengthening the company’s security posture by implementing and managing essential security tools and processes, with a focus on resilience against external threats and enterprise-grade compliance.
- • Day to day, you will own cloud and Kubernetes security across 10+ global GKE clusters, design secure-by-default platforms using policy-as-code (OPA/Kyverno), harden CI/CD and IaC pipelines, lead secrets management, strengthen networking fundamentals, build detection and monitoring systems, develop incident response playbooks, manage SIEM, enforce auth standards, mature privileged access, and drive compliance efforts including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- • You will work closely with Gorgias’ SRE team and engineering leadership, contributing to a high-growth SaaS environment that powers a unified AI agent for conversational commerce, serving thousands of tenants globally with multi-TB Postgres, Kafka, Flink, and Redis systems.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native security, compliance automation, zero-trust architectures, and enterprise security enablement, while shaping Gorgias’ ability to meet rigorous security standards and scale securely across global markets.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in infrastructure security, cloud security, or security engineering, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment
- • Deep GCP and Kubernetes expertise — GKE, workload identity, network policies, RBAC
- • Strong networking fundamentals — VPC design, peering, firewall architecture, zero-trust networking
- • Hands-on CI/CD and IaC hardening — GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform security patterns
- • Auth expertise — OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML; ability to design and audit identity flows
- • Policy-as-code experience — OPA, Kyverno, or equivalent; guardrails at the platform layer
- • Detection and response background — SIEM, IDS, runtime security tools, and experience writing real runbooks
- • Compliance experience — SOC 2 (Type II preferred), ISO 27001, GDPR/PII data protection
- • Scripting fluency — Python, Go, Bash for automation, tooling, and incident response scripts
