- • As a Staff Software Engineer with a strong backend focus, you will own and evolve the systems that power Foodsmart’s platform, designing, building, and operating backend services and data infrastructure that support both member-facing experiences and internal clinical workflows.
- • You will spend most of your time on backend systems, APIs, and data, while contributing to the frontend when needed to ensure end-to-end quality and strong product outcomes, directly supporting personalized nutrition journeys and tools used daily by registered dietitians.
- • Foodsmart is the leading Foodcare platform in the U.S., delivering nutrition-driven healthcare at scale through a national network of Registered Dietitians, personalized clinical nutrition care, behavior change tools, and food benefits to improve member health outcomes while lowering healthcare costs.
- • You will learn to scale impactful health technology systems, deepen expertise in backend architecture and data infrastructure, and contribute to a mission-driven team committed to making nutritious food accessible and affordable for everyone, regardless of economic status.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong backend engineering expertise with experience designing, building, and operating scalable backend services and data infrastructure
- • Proficiency in API development and integration, with ability to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of product functionality
- • Experience contributing to frontend work when needed to maintain end-to-end quality and user experience
- • Ability to work closely with clinical and product teams to support tools used by registered dietitians and member-facing experiences
