📋 Description

• As a Staff Software Engineer at Foundation Healthcare, LLC, you will serve as a technical anchor for the engineering team, driving strategic decisions that shape the product roadmap and technical direction for the next 6–12 months, directly impacting patient care through AI-powered pharmacy infrastructure.
• You will set technical quality standards, architect multi-component systems, modernize legacy patterns, lead AI-native workflows (including agentic systems and LLM-assisted QA), own end-to-end product quality, mentor peers, and represent engineering in cross-functional planning while advocating for user needs through lightweight discovery.
• Foundation Health is transforming healthcare with an AI-native digital pharmacy platform that integrates with EHR systems to eliminate friction in patient journeys, operating from a distributed-first hub in Manchester City Centre with a culture rooted in innovation, psychological safety, and high agency.
• You will deepen your expertise in AI engineering (RAG, function calling, evaluation frameworks), system design at scale, technical leadership, and cross-functional influence — gaining visibility into how code directly improves patient outcomes and provider workflows while building meaningful equity in a mission-driven organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record of building complex systems from scratch with measurable impact
• Strong problem-solving initiative — ability to identify and act on needs without waiting for perfect specifications
• AI-native mindset: habitual use of AI tools to enhance personal productivity and eagerness to enable team-wide adoption
• Experience establishing technical quality bars, writing gold-standard reference implementations, and conducting system design reviews
• Background in leading workstreams, managing cross-team dependencies, and owning technical roadmaps tied to product milestones
• Familiarity with modern stacks including Node.js, TypeScript, and GCP (preferred)
