Staff Software Engineer, Agent Platform

📋 Description

• • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Agent Platform team at Replit, you will build powerful tools that help product engineers iterate rapidly on the Agent experience and directly enhance the core Agent itself, bridging the gap between AI and UX teams to enable both to excel.
• • Day to day, you will build high-throughput backend services like streaming chat between user and agent, design a collaborative "Multiplayer Computer" for real-time human-AI collaboration on shared shells and filesystems, develop frontend and backend infrastructure to empower product engineers, and design durable interfaces between the Agent and internal/external agentic systems.
• • Replit is building the world’s most ubiquitous AI coding agent, democratizing software development by enabling anyone to build applications using natural language, with millions of users worldwide and a focus on secure vibe coding and removing traditional barriers to application creation.
• • In this role, you will grow your skills across infrastructure and product, lead end-to-end efforts with meaningful impact, and deepen your expertise in systems engineering, developer experience, and product engineering while working on complex full-stack challenges from browser interfaces to Linux systems.
