- • As a Staff Software Engineer at FloQast, you will serve as a primary architect of the company’s vision to build the 'Operating System for Accounting,' driving technical strategy and innovation across the application ecosystem.
- • You will solve complex, large-scale distributed systems problems, define the technical North Star for the platform, and enable engineering teams to deliver value faster through step-function improvements in architecture, performance, and scalability.
- • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-impact systems that serve global brands such as Zoom, DoorDash, and MLB, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and developer velocity.
- • You will mentor engineers, influence technical standards, and champion best practices that elevate the entire engineering organization’s ability to ship high-quality software at scale.
- • You will work in a hybrid environment based in San Jose or Los Angeles, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep expertise in designing and scaling distributed systems, including experience with microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
- • Proven ability to drive technical vision and influence engineering strategy across multiple teams.
- • Strong proficiency in backend development using languages such as Java, Python, or Go, with experience in building high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- • Experience mentoring senior engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
