📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end creation of AI-powered features that turn legal contracts into strategic assets for Fortune-500 customers. You will architect, code, test, and ship production-grade capabilities such as intelligent redlining, clause-level summarization, and risk-flagging that are used by thousands of legal professionals every day.
• • Rapidly iterate on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines that ingest millions of PDFs and DOCX files, extract the right context, and feed it to state-of-the-art LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, and proprietary models) to achieve sub-second latency and >95 % accuracy on customer benchmarks.
• • Build and maintain a resilient, horizontally-scalable TypeScript/Node.js backend and React frontend that serve high-traffic SaaS workloads. You will optimize PostgreSQL queries, design caching layers, and tune autoscaling policies so the platform remains performant as usage doubles quarter-over-quarter.
• • Collaborate daily with Product Managers, UX Designers, and QE engineers in a true 0-to-1 environment. You will translate ambiguous legal workflows into crisp technical specs, run weekly design sprints, and pivot quickly when user feedback reveals new priorities.
• • Establish a data-driven Prompt Strategy that balances cost, latency, and quality. You will craft prompt templates, implement guardrails, and run A/B experiments to measure faithfulness, groundedness, and user satisfaction, then roll out the winning variant to 100 % of traffic.
• • Instrument every AI feature with comprehensive observability using Datadog, custom metrics, and product analytics. You will set SLOs, create automated alerts, and lead incident reviews to ensure 99.9 % uptime for mission-critical contract workflows.
• • Champion customer empathy by joining sales calls, reading support tickets, and shadowing legal teams. Your code will directly reduce contract turnaround times from weeks to hours and surface hidden risks that save companies millions in potential liabilities.
• • Contribute to Ironclad’s internal AI platform by partnering with infrastructure teams to expose new LLM endpoints, improve token-efficiency, and enforce security controls that satisfy SOC 2 Type II and enterprise-grade audit requirements.
• • Mentor junior engineers through pair programming, design reviews, and lunch-and-learn sessions on topics like vector databases, prompt engineering, and scalable React patterns.
• • Stay on the cutting edge of generative AI research, attending conferences, evaluating new models, and proposing innovative product ideas that keep Ironclad ahead of competitors in the rapidly evolving LegalTech landscape.
