- • As a Staff Software Engineer, AI at Fabric Health, you will set the technical direction and define the architecture for advanced language and voice technologies that transform patient and provider interactions, driving innovation in AI-powered healthcare solutions.
- • You will define end-to-end architecture for mission-critical ML/AI applications, own the full software development lifecycle, and lead the productionization of AI features in Python, integrating them with core backend services while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- • You will mentor senior engineers, establish technical standards, and drive best practices across the team, while collaborating with product, medical, and data science teams to design responsible AI safeguards and robust interfaces for AI systems.
- • You will lead the evaluation, optimization, and strategic use of AWS Bedrock, develop automated evaluation frameworks for AI fairness and accuracy, and shape Fabric’s long-term AI strategy by researching and introducing new tools and architectures that align with clinical and operational needs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in software engineering or applied machine learning with a focus on building real-world AI/ML systems, or a master’s degree in a related field.
- • Proficiency in backend software engineering using Python, including experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and cloud-native applications on AWS.
- • Demonstrated ability to bring models from research to production, solving for latency, scale, and reliability in healthcare-specific AI/ML systems.
- • Strong technical leadership skills with experience mentoring senior engineers and driving best practices across engineering teams.
- • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, medical, and data science teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
