- • Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform role at Juniper Square, Inc. focused on building a next-generation intelligent data platform for private markets, a greenfield initiative that will reshape how financial data is ingested, normalized, validated, enriched, and distributed.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and shipping core pipeline components (schema mapping, data normalization, validation, enrichment, distribution), writing production code daily, driving technical architecture decisions, building AI evaluation infrastructure, using agentic coding tools as primary workflow, establishing technical standards, and collaborating across engineering and product teams.
- • Joining a values-driven company digitizing private markets to bring efficiency, transparency, and access to commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital assets; operates with a digital-first hybrid workplace model across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England, with physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
- • Opportunity to own end-to-end delivery of foundational systems, shape technical practices for a scaling team, work at the intersection of modern data engineering and applied AI, mentor peers as the team grows, and gain deep domain expertise in private markets data while contributing to high-impact financial technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated Staff-level technical scope and impact
- • Strong hands-on experience with data pipeline or data warehouse engineering: schema design, ETL/ELT patterns, normalization, and API-based data distribution
- • Production experience building with LLMs: prompt design, model orchestration, evaluation, and output validation in real systems
- • Fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows; uses these tools daily with strong opinions on effective use
- • Experience with AWS data infrastructure; Redshift experience a plus
- • Strong written communication – able to translate technical design into clear documentation for engineering and product audiences
