- • Build new user interfaces for lawyers and professional organizations to collaborate with AI-powered tools across Harvey’s product suite including Assistant, Vault, Workflows, and Harvey add-ins for Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- • Lead end-to-end development of frontend features—from initial scoping and design reviews through implementation, launch, and iterative improvement—for existing and future Harvey products.
- • Develop high-performance, polished React and TypeScript interfaces using TailwindCSS, with emphasis on crisp interactions, resilient state management, and robust error handling.
- • Architect and evolve reusable UI components and design patterns to strengthen and scale Harvey’s internal design system.
- • Optimize frontend performance at scale to ensure responsiveness and reliability for enterprise users handling complex, long-running workflows.
- • Collaborate closely with design and backend/infrastructure teams to shape APIs and user experiences for streaming results, tool-calling workflows, and real-time interactions.
- • Enhance frontend reliability and security UX to meet the stringent requirements of enterprise and regulated legal environments.
- • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through thoughtful code reviews, documentation, and guidance to elevate team-wide frontend standards and developer experience.
- • Maintain high standards across all aspects of frontend engineering, including code quality, communication, architecture, and user experience.
- • Contribute to the definition and adoption of frontend engineering best practices tailored to a fast-scaling SaaS platform with global enterprise customers.
- • Work in a high-intensity environment that values decisiveness, simplicity, and relentless execution—where no task is considered finished until it meets the highest bar.
- • Engage directly with product and customer feedback to ensure frontend solutions solve real-world problems for legal professionals and organizations.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to align frontend architecture with broader platform goals, including PWA technologies and offline-capable workflows.
- • Ensure all UIs are accessible, performant, and secure, reflecting Harvey’s commitment to enterprise-grade software in regulated industries.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of experience in a product-focused frontend software engineering role post-B.E./B.Tech/MS
- • Proven experience with React, TypeScript, and CSS (specifically TailwindCSS)
- • Demonstrated track record of building and shipping fast-growing SaaS products using PWA technologies
- • Proven track record of shipping highly intuitive, detail-oriented products
- • Experience working at startups or scaleups (early- to late-stage)
