- • Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise clients, leading pre-sales discovery and translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure payment architectures using Airwallex’s global financial platform.
- • Own the end-to-end technical sales cycle for strategic accounts, including RFP responses, proof-of-concept development, and customized solution design aligned with client infrastructure and compliance needs.
- • Collaborate directly with account executives, regional GMs, product leadership, and engineering teams to design technical strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention for high-value enterprise clients.
- • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to C-suite and technical stakeholders, establishing Airwallex as a trusted partner in global payments and embedded finance.
- • Act as the voice of the customer by gathering and synthesizing feedback on product gaps, integration challenges, and market needs to inform product roadmap decisions.
- • Oversee and troubleshoot the technical onboarding and integration of enterprise clients, ensuring API implementations adhere to best practices and deliver optimal developer experience.
- • Lead technical due diligence for strategic partnerships and integrations, identifying risks and opportunities in multi-system payment workflows across global markets.
- • Develop white papers, competitor analyses, and go-to-market strategies in partnership with commercial, marketing, and strategy teams to strengthen Airwallex’s positioning in competitive landscapes.
- • Maintain hands-on engineering involvement to validate architectural designs, debug complex API interactions, and support seamless deployment of payment solutions.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Airwallex’s solution frameworks and reusable integration patterns to scale technical enablement across global markets.
- • Travel up to 10% for in-person client meetings, technical workshops, and internal alignment sessions with global teams.
- • Work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure customer-driven insights directly influence product enhancements and platform improvements.
- • Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical and business decision-makers at enterprise clients, establishing credibility and long-term partnership.
- • Leverage AI tools and automation to accelerate solution design, documentation, and troubleshooting processes while maintaining rigorous technical standards.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with strong academic achievements
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles such as solutions architect, solution consultant, or sales engineer at a global software or payments company
- • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
- • Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications
- • Executive engagement skills with the ability to build credibility and relationships with C-level and technical decision-makers
- • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple concurrent enterprise opportunities and priorities
