- • Staff Tax Accountant responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, and planning for Shield AI, a venture-backed deep-tech company focused on intelligent systems for national security.
- • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations; support tax provision calculations under ASC 740.
- • Work within the finance team at Shield AI, which supports global operations across U.S., Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific offices.
- • Develop expertise in corporate tax for high-growth technology companies; contribute to process improvements and support strategic financial decision-making.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • CPA certification or active progress toward certification
- • 3+ years of experience in corporate tax accounting or public accounting
- • Experience with federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting
- • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., OneSource, SAP, Oracle)
- • Strong understanding of ASC 740 and tax provision preparation
